Fold it till it fits. Match the sock twins. No clock.

Silly Socks is a cozy laundry puzzle. A heap of clothes lands on the table. Slice fold lines across each garment until it fits the basket, then stack it neatly. Hidden in the pile are pairs of socks. Find the twins, drop the pair on a slot, and it wakes up with an effect that bends the rest of your run.

Folding a pair of pants in half twice until it fits the basket box

How to play

  • Fold: tap a garment, then slice across it (or tap two points) to fold. Keep folding until it fits the dashed box.
  • Pack: drag the folded piece and the basket slides in. Four neat stacks beat one tall pile, and messy folds get thick.
  • Match: tap two matching socks, then drag the pair onto one of five slots to wake its effect.
  • Dig: drag the pile to uncover socks, or hit Shuffle (or shake your phone) to tumble the heap.

The run

Clear 9 loads with 10 hampers for the whole run. Overflowing a hamper seals it. A half-full one carries over to the next load. Run out of hampers and the run ends.

Socks with opinions

  • Woolly Bully: the next garment you pocket scores ×2.
  • Tube Sock: the basket box is 25% larger while folding.
  • Static Cling: fold lines near horizontal or vertical snap straight.
  • Long John: +1 hamper for the run.
  • Toe Bean: +4 Mult. Always.

…and more, from everyday White Crews to legendary oddities.

Cozy by design

  • No timers. Nothing counts down, and there's no bonus for speed.
  • Put it down anytime. Pause mid-load, close the tab, and pick up the same basket later on this device.
  • New here? A short story load, where your roommate dumps a basket and runs, teaches the basics. You can skip it.
  • Works with touch or mouse. Plays best in portrait or fullscreen.

This is a playtest

This is an early build (v0.6.4). I'd love to hear in the comments:

  • Did folding feel satisfying, or fiddly?
  • Did you understand what a pair does when you slot it?
  • Where did you stop, and why?
